SEA KAYAKING IN MOZAMBIQUE
Warm waters and untouched beaches line Mozambique’s nearly 2 800 kilometers coastline. Although the Indian Ocean has quite strong currents and large waves, there are many protected bays and lakes that are perfect for sea kayaking. The southern areas of Mozambique are easily accessible by road from South Africa and suggesteddestinations include Bilene, which has a large lagoon, fed by the Indian ocean which offers great sea kayak conditions and wonderful scenery, Xai-Xai which has a protected bay, and lnhambane and Vilanculos from where you can paddle out to the tropical islands of Bazaruto and Benguerra.
